Mark joined Pease CPAs in 1990 and, within the firm’s Assurance Services practice, leads the nonprofit and government audit functions.
He is experienced with Government Auditing Standards and oversees audits under the Single Audit Act, the new Uniform Guidance, and OMB Circular No. A-133: Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-profit Organizations; and United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) audits.
FOCUS
Mark is the engagement partner on dozens of audit, review, and agreed-upon procedures engagements for healthcare, non-profit, and other governmentally-supported entities in over ten states, with a concentration in the long-term care industry. With clients in the healthcare, non-profit, distribution, technology, and construction industries, Mark’s expertise reaches a broad base. His government funding experience provides a foundation of knowledge that is often sought by profit and non-profit companies and organizations throughout the United States.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Mark currently serves as Treasurer for the Cleveland Print Room and is a member of the United Way of Greater Cleveland Health Impact Team. For eight years Mark served on the Board of Directors and several committees of the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the United States Green Building Council. He has volunteered at other organizations, including Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland, Doan Brook Watershed Partnership, and MedWish International.
He is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mark participates in CPAmerica, Inc. – sponsored peer reviews.
EDUCATION
Mark earned magna cum laude honors with his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Toledo, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
